The Leamon Sound Device (LSD) is currently 24 channels of sound in a spare
room. This is only the beginning of the device's life.
I intend to continue growing the system until it has more speakers and more audio
inputs. In the near-term, my goals are:
-- purchase a total of eight distance mics -- perhaps more Mineroff mics or another
type/brand. With my existing equipment, these 8 mics can be used for recording
eight channels of live sound in the field.
-- eventually get to 24 channels of live sound input, including building a portable frame
for the mics.
-- purchase a subwoofer or two.
-- purchase equipment for outside installations: monitor stands, marine battery/power
inverter, etc.
-- hold a demonstration of the LSD in Austin -- rent a space, market the event, etc.
-- increase the output of the system to 48, then 96, then 192 channels by duplicating
the 24-channel "unit" I've already assembled. This may involve hiring a programmer
for some minor software tasks as well as purchasing hardware and software.
-- solicit 24-channel (or greater) works by established artists.
Many more possibilities lie in the future. With your help I will make them happen! Any
donation of any amount will help.
Thank you!
